The challenge of the Fashion Bug DollMaker was to create something that pre-teen girls will enjoy. Girls during that age are usually into fashion and dressing up, so ideally this was something "hip" and "interesting" that they could share with their friends.
Flash Doll Maker which allows the user to choose a scenery, choose a hairstyle, dress a doll and send to a friend.
- Accessories - Backgrounds, Hairstyle, Clothing.
- Send to a friend - By sending to a friend, the user can allow their friend to load their doll and view their message.
- Save link feature - By saving the link, a url will show up to load the image, the user can copy and paste.
- Audience - Preteen girls – teenage girls
This was created in 7 weeks, the rest of the time (3 weeks) was testing and making sure that it worked exactly how I wanted it to. If this was my only class I would have loved to add other things like accesories and more dolls. Everything works after I tested it with over 20 people and looked at their suggestions. Not everyone's opinion worked because they didn't work for my program. I would love to have added more features such as gallery saves but for some reason I didn't think that was necessary. I had to create a simplified version because of all the illustrations that I had to do and MicroEconomics class that has been taking over my life. The coding was the easiest part but thinking of what would work was the hurdle that I had to go over. I wanted this project to be created by me and me only... so I limited my help from others by using my own research and coding abilities.
